This policy is compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
1. Who We Are (Responsible Party)

2. Information We Collect
From Candidates: Full name, contact details (phone, WhatsApp, email), location, nationality, work permit status, employment history, skills, profile photo, introduction video, CV, certificates, and references. This information is provided voluntarily during the application process.
From Families: Name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by PayFast — we do not store card details). We also collect information about profiles viewed and unlocked.
Automatically: We collect standard web usage data (page views, session information) to improve the platform. We do not use tracking pixels or sell data to advertisers.
3. Purpose of Processing
We process personal information for the following purposes:
- Matching candidates with families seeking domestic workers and carers
- Verifying candidate eligibility and suitability for listing
- Processing payments and managing credit purchases
- Sending transactional communications (application updates, payment receipts)
- Improving and operating the platform
- Complying with legal obligations
4. Candidate Profile Sharing
Upon profile approval, a candidate's public profile (name, role, location, skills, photo) is made visible to all registered families on the platform. A candidate's full contact details and references are only revealed to a family after that family has purchased a credit and used it to unlock the candidate's profile.
Candidates consent to this sharing as part of the application process (POPIA consent). This consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.
5. Data Retention
Candidate profiles are retained for as long as the candidate wishes to remain on the platform, or for a maximum of 2 years after the last update if no response is received to a renewal request. Families' account data is retained for the duration of the account and for a period of 5 years thereafter for legal and financial record-keeping purposes.
Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by South African financial regulations.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorised access. Sensitive data (contact details, documents) is stored securely and is only accessible to authorised platform administrators and, after unlock, to the purchasing family.
Payment processing is handled by PayFast, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not store payment card details.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: PayFast (payment processing), Base44 (platform infrastructure and hosting). These parties process data on our behalf and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
